Kérastase Giveaway

I’ll start by being honest. In a former life, I was lucky enough to be the brand manager for Kérastase, which meant being paid to tell the world how wonderful the brand is. As a marketer, it’s your job to make people want your product, so for two years I was completely brainwashed by this French line of luxury hair care.

The thing is, I left L’Oreal over a year ago to have my daughter but I’m still using the products. I love them. I can’t imagine using anything else. My hair has never been so shiny and silky, and good lord they smell amazing.

The thought of life without Chroma Thermique is frightening, it’s like lip gloss for my hair and gives the blonde bits a pretty shimmer. We used to joke that at the end of the day, it’s only shampoo, but the reality is when you find what you love, why change? I have tried just about every brand out there in the market, including a caviar shampoo worth more than a week’s rent, and I’m still a devoted member of team ‘special k’.

When I emailed my former colleagues to let them know I was writing about Kérastase they were kind enough to offer a wee gift for a lucky Beaunz reader. I want to be clear, this is not a paid advertisement or advertorial. No morals were compromised in the writing of this post.

If you would like to try this most beautiful of brands, leave a comment telling me about the most Beaunz-worthy place or thing in your town. Make sure you at least leave your name, because a winner will be chosen at random next Wednesday. If I don’t get any comments, I’ll be keeping the goodies for myself – yippee!

UPDATE: Congratulations Tamsin! Email me your address so we can send out your goodies x

I have been racking my brains for something/ somewhere Beaunz-worthy in my town and I really don't know if we have one!!? I know my favourite clothing store is 'Forever New' in westfield mall Albany. I love, love, love their new summer designs and fabrics! Lots of floaty floral tops, gorgeous bead and sequin festooned dresses and shoes to die for. I could easily spend all day (and a hubby's paycheck!) trying on their clothes!

The North Shore has always been devoid of anything stylish or beautiful in terms of cafes, stores and so on... but now it seems to be really coming into its own. I love The Department Store in Takapuna - I love browsing through the homewares, baby wear, women's wear, men's wear and getting a macaroon and coffee after to ponder. I also LOVE Farrows... i know this is food and fashion/beauty but seriously... I get so much inspiration from there... I would really like to throw a Spanish themed dinner party and make paella.

Tamsin - I love Farro too! Count me in for paella if you do...And The Department Store is addictive, I even love browsing the men's clothes.

Laura, I haven't been to Forever New, I must try it.

Ok,here I am again...Trying for the third time to leave a comment...
This question definitely got me thinking about which place I love in Geelong. I am relatively new to the town and with very fond memories of London, still fresh in my mind,it took some time... As you can imagine one cannot compare the two...
But there is a lovely shopping street in West Geelong called Pakington street, that is always heaving with people. It has got a great Italian deli (my favourite),some great caffes and boutique gift shops, gorgeous florist and an amazing teak only furniture shop. This is the place that makes me feel like I'm somewhere in Europe or at least a nice suburb of Melbourne, where people read newspapers over their morning coffee, while the sun shines through the windows and everything is cool.
It is much better than Geelong's city centre with it's soulless feel and teenagers from Corio smoking cigarettes&shouting obscenities.
Pakington street feels like the right place-a family friendly unpretentious little hip street that you want to hang out....
